The UK is set to have a wet start to the summer, with rain predicted over the next two weeks.
Despite the country having experienced warm weather over the weekend, experts warned conditions were likely to deteriorate over the next fortnight.
It was expected to be ‘dull, dank and miserable’, according to the Met Office, with heavy showers and thunderstorms predicted.

It will also be colder than it has been, with temperatures set to drop to 15C (59F).

‘Rain could be heavy until the end of the week,’ said Emma Compton, a forecaster for the Met Office.
‘The North and East are likely to see longer spells.’
